TRAINED CYCLISTS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH STUDY

TRAINED CYCLISTS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH STUDY

Hi! My name is Helena Rietschier and I am a Master's student in the Exercise Physiology department at LSU. We're conducting a cycling study to investigate the effectiveness of a natural carbohydrate source (sun-dried raisins) versus sports jelly beans on promoting endurance performance. The study will involve you cycling on your own bicycle mounted on a Computrainer in our lab. There will be a VO2 max test, a lactate threshold test, and 3 experimental trials in which you will cycle for 2 hours followed by a 10-km time trial. Every 20 minutes during the 2 hour cycling bout, you will receive either sun-dried raisins, sport jelly beans, or water-only. For more information, please contact me (hriets1@lsu.edu). Thanks!!

➢ Male and female cyclists/triathletes needed for research study comparing the effectiveness of a natural carbohydrate source (sun-dried raisins) versus sports jelly beans on promoting endurance performance

➢ Cycle on your own bicycle mounted on a CompuTrainer

➢ Benefits: Complimentary VO2 MAX and Lactate Threshold Testing

➢ Contact Helena Rietschier (hriets1@tigers.lsu.edu) for more information

Hey Scott!

Thanks so much for helping me recruit cyclists for the study! I attached the flyer to this email. Please let me know if you need additional information.

Thanks again!
